Benenfits of screen-free and sensory play.

Greetings!

Do you ever wonder if your kids are spending too much time in front of screens? Do you worry about how technology is affecting their growth and well-being? If so, you might want to think about getting your kids some toys they can play with without technology. Even most Sunday schools don't incorporate sensory activities in their lessons and I for one am so thankful that our church is one of the few around that still encourages them. Here are a few reasons why:

- Toys without computer chips encourage imagination and creativity. Tech-free toys let kids create their own stories and settings, unlike apps and games that have predetermined rules and consequences. When they play with toys like stuffed animals, beauty games, books, play dough, and puzzles, they can use their imaginations to create a variety of characters, situations, and stories.

- They also encourage interaction and dialogue. Children often engage with other children or adults while playing with simple toys. They learn to cooperate, share, and negotiate, which is always a plus!

So, the next time you are looking for a gift for your child, why not try some non-tech toys? I took the liberty of linking a few for your little one. Not only are they good for your child's development and well-being, but they are also good for your wallet and the environment. They are often cheaper, more durable, and less wasteful than tech-based toys. Plus, they never run out of batteries or need updates.!
